Greenhouse partnered with Butterfly Way Preschool in Vrygrond township to offer weekly movement and dance sessions for children from families facing significant social and economic challenges. Through music, rhythm and playful movement, the children were given a joyful space to express themselves, build confidence and experience the freedom of moving together.

The sessions encouraged connection, cooperation and creativity. Dance became a simple way for children to listen to one another, explore their bodies, release energy and feel recognised as active participants in a shared community.

Dancing, or conscious movement, was always an indigenous social technology that brought cohesion, developed trust between humans and promoted well being.

Greenhouse promotes Indigenous recognition and respect for the living world. This project treated movement as a natural form of learning and belonging.
